About the Museum: Our Library

As the museum's archive of rotary wing aircraft related information, the Renzo Pierpaoli Memorial Library collects, catalogs, and provides for the preservation of printed and photographic material. Items such as; books, magazines, manuals, reports, drawings, patents, technical papers, articles, photographs, films, and videos, etc. pertaining to these aircraft have been donated by museum members and non-members and are cataloged in our search-engine database. Presently, we have over 12,000 items.

Unique collections from individuals and corporations such as John J. Schneider, former American Helicopter Society historian. The Helicopter Foundation International and John Slattery have augmented our depository of rotary wing data. We encourage anyone interested in donating items related to rotary wing aircraft to contact us. It is our goal to gather and preserve this material so that it will be available for others to use for research and study.

Although we are a non-circulating library, access to our holdings is available by appointment on Monday - Wednesday 9:30am - 3:30pm excluding holidays. Inquiries are invited via our e-mail address. (archives@helicoptermuseum.org)
