Great programs that kids love and learn!Helicopter Hunt Grades: Pre K - 1 Length: 1 hour Color images, video, and lots of fun activities to help kids learn what a helicopter is, what it can do and its basic parts. Pre- visit materials are available. Amazing Air! Grades: 1 -3 Length: 1 hour A fun, interactive workshop that uses hands-on experiments to help kids learn about: What is air? How do I know it's there? Does air have weight? Can you feel air? What can air do? This program is available as an outreach program. What a Drag! The Forces of Flight Grades: 3-6 Length: 1 hour Students participate in experiments and activities that demonstrate how the four forces, weight, drag, lift and thrust impact flying objects and how helicopters use these forces to fly and maneuver. This program supports the PA Science and Technology Standard 3.4 Physical Science, Chemistry and Physics. Educational OutreachWe can bring the American Helicopter Museum's acclaimed programs to your school! Invite Stubby to Your School!Stubby is an interactive helicopter that travels to schools, camps and community events. Docents accompanying Stubby give kids a chance to sit in the cockpit, operate the controls and learn how each works.
