Welcome to HelicopterMuseum.org, the official web site of the American Helicopter Museum and Education Center. We collect, restore and display historic aircraft and chronicle the origin and development of rotary wing aircraft. Currently, the Museum displays over 35 civilian and military helicopters, autogiros and convertaplanes.

Museum Location


Appropriately, the Museum is located in suburban Philadelphia where two of today's major helicopter manufacturers have their roots, and where much of the earliest development of helicopters in the U.S took place.

Museum Hours


Open Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00am to 5:00 pm
Open Sunday from 12:00pm (noon) to 5:00 pm
Monday and Tuesday open by appointment only.

Adults - $6.00
Seniors - $5.00
Children* and Students with ID - $4.00

The Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the International Organization of Women Pilots, also known as the "Ninety-Nines", will touch down at the Museum Saturday 5/3 and Sunday 5/4 for their annual scholarship fundraiser, offering plane rides for a mere 15 cents per pound of body weight!
