With over three dozen helicopters on display, your guests will have the chance to get up close and personal with these amazing aircraft. Whether it’s sitting in the pilot’s seat, learning about aviation history, or snapping photos with some of the coolest helicopters in the country, there’s something exciting for everyone. It's a great way for the young men and women in your group to enjoy a fun, hands-on adventure while celebrating this special occasion.

We know how important it is to find the right venue for such a significant event, and the American Helicopter Museum offers an affordable alternative to traditional banquet halls and country clubs. Whether you're planning a lively celebration with friends and family or a more intimate gathering, our versatile event space can be customized to suit your vision. Our venue offers over 3,000 square feet of flexible space that can accommodate both smaller groups and larger parties up to 250 seated guests. While we can provide vendor referrals, the final decision is all yours. Choose your own caterer, music, linens, photographer, videographer, and so much more. They sky’s the limit!

Can I touch or climb in the aircraft?Several aircraft are available for visitors to enter. Aircraft that you are not permitted to enter are either closed or have stanchions to prevent entry. If you are unsure, please ask a staff member.

Can I fly my drone at the museum?No. Due to FAA regulations, no one may launch a drone from the museum’s property.

Are pets or service animals permitted at the museum?Service animals are permitted but pets are prohibited.

Is there a charge for parking?No.

Is the museum handicapped accessible?Yes.

Are there designated smoking areas?No. The building and grounds are non-smoking.

Does the museum offer guided tours?The museum is a self-guided experience, with docents (availability varies) and staff in the gallery to answer questions. Group tours, which include a special program, are available; more info is available here.

Can I bring food?Yes. We have an indoor lunch room and outside picnic tables where you may eat your pre-packed lunch. Except on some special occasions (such as FamilyFest), the museum only offers snacks and drinks for purchase.

Are there special rules for photographing the aircraft?No. You are welcome to photograph our collection. Please follow the guidelines for closed aircraft.

Can I fly in to visit the museum?Any requests to fly into the Brandywine Airport (OQN) must be arranged through the airport.
