About the event

Join us in honor of Juneteenth for the unveiling of a permanent special exhibit, On the Wings of Freedom: Black Leaders in Aviation.

This special exhibit features and celebrates the stories of prominent Black mechanics, pilots, and engineers in American aviation with connections to aircraft in the museum's collection.

In honor of this unveiling, Aaron Watkins of the Philadelphia Tuskegee Airmen and La'Shanda Hawkins, of the US Coast Guard will speak about their careers in aviation. Don't miss out on this opportunity to meet and learn about giants in the aviation field!
